4 DAYS FROM MARRAKECH TO MERZOUGA TOUR

Overview:

Book the 4 Days Marrakech to Fes through Desert trip to completely discover the Sahara desert of Erg Chebbi, High and Middle Atlas, Canyons, Valleys, and Camel Trek for a beautiful adventure in the desert before spending the night in the middle of the desert. The tour begins and ends in Marrakech. The desert journey connects Marrakech to the Imperial City of Fes. Fes was the imperial capital of Morocco.

Tour Plan :

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Gorge

We will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech and drive you to Ouarzazate over the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the breathtaking Tizi n’ Tichka pass, which is the highest major mountain pass in Africa at 2,260 meters. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to take in the breathtaking scenery and Berber villages. We will have lunch at the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, which is the largest one in Morocco and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. After lunch, we will continue to Dades Gorge via Ouarzazate, also known as “the Hollywood of Africa,” and along the (Road of the thousand Kasbahs), passing through Kalaat Mgouna, also known as “the rose’s city,” on our way to Dades Gorge. Spend the night at the hotel or riad.

Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga

Leaving the Dades valley in the direction of Tinrghir and the Todra valley, we will see the panoramic views of the old mud Berber villages with its palm groves overlooking the valley. After breakfast, we will drive through the valley to see the amazing rock formation and take a break in one of the nice spot of the gorge. When you get to the Toddha Gorge, you will have to go beneath a steep red cliff that is elevated up to (300m) at the place where it is at its narrowest.

After continuing on to Erfoud and Rissani, we will stop for lunch en route, and then we will continue on to Merzouga. When we arrive, you will have the opportunity to repack and take only your day packs with what you will need for the evening in the desert. After a cup of tea, your local guides will teach you how to mount and dismount your camel as well as provide you with other helpful camel-related safety tips.

Following a traditional meal served under the night sky, you will assist in the construction of Berber tents for our night spent in the desert.

Day 3 will be spent in the Merzouga region and on the camel trip.

Following breakfast, we will get started on our tour of the surrounding region. Our first stop will be a community inhabited by black people who are originally from Sudan. While there, we will listen to their music and see how they live.

After that, we will take a trip to the Miffis Mines to see how things are done there, and then we will go beyond the dunes into the real desert, where we will sit for some tea with the Berber Bedouins. Your local guides will show you how to ride and dismount your camel, as well as other helpful camel-related safety instructions, following which you will begin exploring the enigmatic sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi before returning to the hotel. This will take place after a cup of tea. over night in a berber tent.

Day 4: Merzouga – Fes

After breakfast, we will travel to Fes via Errachidia along the magnificent Ziz palm groves and other berber villages passing by the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt where we will have lunch before continuing on to Azrou, a Berber village in the Middle Atlas Mountains. This will be the best sunrise of your life, and it will cast different shadows and colors over the sea of sand dunes, which are the highest in Morocco. After returning to our desert hotel, we will spend the rest In the renowned Cedar forest, where there are barbarian monkeys, we will make a pit stop. The next stop is at Ifrane, sometimes known as the Switzerland of Morocco, where you may take a photo or have a cup of coffee before continuing on to Fes, where the journey comes to a conclusion.
