Overview:
if you’re interested in a quick trip from Fes to the Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi, sign up for the desert tour from Fes 3 days. Tour Plan :
Day 1: Fes Midelt to the Todra Gorges
We leave Fez in the morning and go to the Todra Gorge, passing through the cedar trees of Azrou on our way to Ifrane, home to a population of free-ranging monkeys. It’s a great chance to photograph the Moroccan desert. Eat lunch in a sleepy Berber town. Taking in the beautiful Atlas terrain, we go on to the little village of Rich. Here, we make a right and go through the well-known city of Imilchil on our way to the breathtaking Toudra Gorges later that evening.
Day 2: Todra Gorges – Merzouga – Night in the desert:
The trip from Toudra’s throats to Merzouga begins after breakfast. They will soon be able to go to the traditional Berber settlements they so much want. Our journey takes us past the towns of Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, where we can first see the oasis of Tafilalet in the Sahara. Once you’ve finished camel riding in the Erg Chebbi dunes,
continue on to Merzouga, where you may unwind. Imagining yourself riding a camel across the silent dunes of Erg Chebbi is a wonderful thought. We dismounted the camels and hiked up a dune to see the sunset before returning to camp. Camping out in the open air
Day 3: Fes Midelt to the Todra Gorges
As the sun rises, we climb the camels that bring us from Merzouga to Fes; after a quick wash and some food, we’ll make our way across the Middle Atlas Mountains and into the Ziz Valley on our way to Fes by the evening.
