There was a plaza in the medina of Chefchaouen that was designed in the style of Spain. It was surrounded by a number of cool shops selling arts and crafts, as well as rooftop restaurants and cafes. Here, you could spend the night in a pleasant setting while appreciating the fresh air and the natural beauty around you.

Following breakfast at your riad, we will begin our exploration of the oldest city in Morocco by strolling through the city’s winding alleyways and narrow streets. Our tour begins with a trip to the entrance of the Royal Palace, which leads to the Jewish HQ and the first Mellah ever constructed in Morocco. This Mellah was constructed in the 16th century.
We will make it a point to take you to all of the cultural and historical landmarks in the area, such as the renowned Al Qaraouine University, which is the longest continuously operating educational institution in the area, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum, and the Mulay Idriss tomb. Following lunch, you will get the opportunity to take in a breathtaking vista that encompasses the whole Medina of Fes. The accommodations will be located in the same Riad as the restaurant.
DAY 4: FES – IFRANE – MIDELT – ZIZ AVALLEY – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA:
You will check out of your accommodation in the morning and begin your journey to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud. You will be traveling through the picturesque Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau. As you get closer to the city of Errachidia, you will notice how the landscape changes to reveal hints of the desert. It is in this city that you will have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality.
After that, you will continue on your journey to Erfoud and Rissani by means of the verdant Ziz Valley, pausing along the route to take in the breathtaking scenery. It is recommended that you arrive at Merzouga in the afternoon. In addition, as you enter your riad, you will be greeted with a refreshing drink of mint tea.
MERZOUGA – SAHARA DESERT – CAMEL TREK: DAY 5
You will visit the Gnawa people – who are originally from Mali, Senegal, and Sudan – in their village Khamlia, where you will learn about their music and their way of life. After breakfast at your riad, you will have the opportunity to take a short excursion through the surrounding area before beginning your camel ride. In the future, we are going to spend some time driving across the desert in order to visit nomad households and learn about their way of life. Today we will be having a typical Berber cuisine for lunch (Berber pizza).
You will also get the opportunity to explore the ancient city of Rissani, which is known as the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty and is now the reigning royal family in Morocco. Rissani is a city in Morocco that is encircled by over 360 ksar, which are walled villages that have several towers, and it is also home to a large souk, which is an open market that has four entrances and is held three times each week.
Historically referred to as Sijilmassa, this location served as a crossroads for salt caravans traveling from Tombouctou in Mali. The souk is where you’ll go through and buy things like spices, veggies, and clothes here. Take the road that leads back to Merzouga’s settlement. In the afternoon, you will ride a camel in the center of the tallest sand dunes while being accompanied by a skilled camel-man. Your goal is to discover what is hidden there. In front of the tent in which you will be spending the night, dinner will be served.
DAY 6: SAHARA DESERT – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY:
On this day, we will wake up bright and early to view the sunrise over the sand dunes of the Sahara in the desert of Merzouga. After that, we ride camels back to the guest house where we are staying so that we may have breakfast and a shower. Then, after passing via Rissani and Erfoud, we will arrive in Todra Gorge, where we will take in the sights of the rock canyon and eat a meal that is typical of Morocco. In order to get to Dades Valley in time for supper and lodging, we take a little stroll through the gorge.
DAY 7: DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH:
Following breakfast, we will begin our journey to Ouarzazate and Kalaa M’gouna by way of the Dades Valley. The journey through Dades Valley is known as the “way of a thousand kasbahs,” and it will provide you with a multitude of opportunity to snap some of the most memorable photographs of the journey. We are going to have lunch at the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, which is the largest Kasbah in Morocco.
It was constructed at the beginning of the 20th century by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains, and it was one of his stops along the way from the Sahara to Marrakech. Today, the kasbah is recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site. After that, we will change our route to traverse the high Atlas Mountains, which are full of picturesque Berber towns and panoramic vistas all the way to Marrakech. Spend the night in a luxurious riad located in the heart of the medina. 10 Day Tour Departing from Tangier
DAY 8: MARRAKECH CITY TOUR:
You will spend the day today discovering Marrakech.
After breakfast at the riad, we set off to see Marrakech, sometimes known as “the red city of Morocco.” We will make sure that you see the most significant historical and cultural monuments, such as the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, and the Bahia Palace. These are just a few examples. Following lunch at a restaurant located close to the plaza, you will next have a stroll around the souks and look at a multitude of different handicrafts. You will have some free time in the afternoon to explore on your own some of the other neighborhoods in the city.
9th Day: Excursion to Essaouira for the Day
Following breakfast at your riad, you will leave for the city of Essaouira, which is located along the coast. After roughly a two and a half hour trip, we arrived there and immediately began touring the city. You will go to the Skala Fortress, wander through the lanes of the Medina, and look at a variety of handicrafts while you are there. This “City of the Wind” is frequented by surfers from all corners of the globe.
Essaouira was home to a number of different civilisations, notably the Portuguese, whose influence can be seen in much of the town’s architecture; despite this, the town has retained its status as a quaint hamlet steeped in history.
It is also known as Morocco’s “Jewel of the Atlantic” due to its size and the fact that it is characterized by blue doors and washed walls. You will also get the opportunity to see the women’s co-operative that produces argan oil.
In this location, the oil that is so highly regarded for its use in cooking, cosmetics, and medicine is extracted. The traditional Moroccan meal for lunch will consist of fresh fish “prepared to order” at the fish market. You will leave the desert and make your way back to Marrakech in the afternoon.
